Si Swings

Simon is one month old! He sleeps in his own room, has a few distinct cries now (one sounds like he's saying "Oww!"), no longer cries during most diaper changes, and has gotten to meet all his aunts, uncles and funkles as well as his betrothed.

Now for your enjoyment, here is Si swinging and hiccuping:

No More Broccoli

Moments before Chase took this picture Simon was screaming.

He wasn't hungry, his diaper had been changed, he wasn't cold or hot. It was his belly. Broccoli gives him gas. Last night was super rough. Last night I had broccoli again. We're cutting broccoli out for a while.

Last night (pre-scream fest) was also Si's first tub bath.


I wouldn't say he loved it, but I don't think he hated it either.

All About Si

So, this blog will probably end up being mostly about Baby Si for a while for several reasons:
1. He's awesome.
2. My days pretty much revolve around him right now.
3. He's awesome.


Si is two weeks old. The remnant of his umbilical cord has fallen off, so he now has the OK to take a tub bath rather than a sponge bath. Last night he slept like a champion only waking up to eat and then going right back to sleep. He got to meet his Aunt Manders and Aunt Spookie this weekend (my sisters) and got to see Nana Sally (my mom) again, so he got to be held lots. Si loves being held and cuddled but not as much as he loves eating. This boy loves to eat.

One Week

Simon is one week old today. I can hardly believe he came out of me!

Si likes:
-Being held/cuddled/kissed
-Eating
-Daddy singing to him
-Eating
-His swing
-Eating
-His car seat (if he's not buckled in)


Si does not like:
-The man with the diamond earring who pricked his foot in the hospital
-Diaper changes
-Having his feet messed with (we blame the diamond earring man!)
-Being awake without someone paying attention to him

And His Name Is...
